The Hub Fitout

The Hub, a leading Australia wide coworking space has leased level 1 and 2 of Civic Quarter, a premium office building in the middle of Civic. The building was one of the first in the Canberra region to utilise the latest DALI-2 control technology from zencontrol, as the base building control solution.

This control solution was adapted and extended to accommodate the needs of the Hub tenancy. MLCI was engaged to provide the design, supply the additional hardware, and commission, and re-commission, the system to suit the needs of the tenant. This included over 450 DALI luminaires, 115 DALI-2 input devices, and over 40 Emergency Luminaires.

As each office or meeting room could potentially be leased to a different company, each room required the ability to be easily and quickly re-configured based on the needs of each individual tenant, each area was supplied with PIR moment sensors to allow touch free automatic operation of the lighting.

Each room was linked to the common areas to ensure that if an office is occupied after hours, the common and access lighting will remain on.
